Cedarville Stories Podcast: Career Coach Helps Students With God's Game Plan

by Clem Boyd, Communication Content Manager

Jeff Reep, Director of Career Services at Cedarville University, had an outstanding four years playing basketball for Cedarville University. He was named a Most Valuable Player and still holds the No. 5 spot for scoring in school history.

He followed those achievements with a 22-year stint coaching basketball. He was an associate head coach at New Mexico State University for seven years at a time when the Lobos made five-straight appearances in the NCAA Division I basketball tournament, fondly known as “March Madness,” including a trip to the Sweet 16.

Reep took the lead at Cedarville’s men’s basketball program from 1995 till 2000, winning Regional Coach of the Year honors twice from the National Christian College Athletic Association.

While Reep’s courtside success is impressive, it’s his role coaching students to careers where they can glorify God that gives him the most satisfaction. He loves helping students with wisdom and insight he’s gained from a lifetime of following God through different phases of his career. He is a career coach whose joy comes from helping young people discern and pursue God’s plan for their postgraduation lives.
