One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

by Cedarville Public Relations

Bubbly. Energetic. Positive. Visionary. Kim Ahlgrim is a dynamo.

As director of The Cove, the University’s academic enrichment center, she and her staff have created an environment where students can be themselves and share the challenges they are facing academically, personally, and spiritually.

Kim was named Member of the Year by the National Tutoring Association for her leadership of The Cove, and in 2011, she was Cedarville’s Staff Member of the Year.

Kim’s kind and welcoming personality quickly puts students, and anyone else she encounters, at ease. And since The Cove was established, countless current students and alumni can attest to how she and her team’s support, guidance, and encouragement helped them succeed and thrive.

That grace and kindness is reflected in the naming of The Cove itself.

“You know that feeling when you’re walking on a beach on vacation, and you can completely be yourself?” Kim shares during the podcast. “That’s how we want people to feel when they come into The Cove. They can be authentic; they can talk to us about anything that’s going on, from their academics to their relationship with God.”
