One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

by Caroline Kimball, Communications Content Manager

Stand for Life, the pro-life movement that affirms the dignity of human life, is traveling the country on its Image of God Tour, visiting various universities along the way. Cedarville University is the first stop on the tour. On Sept. 26, Cedarville students will hear from Nick Vujicic, Australian evangelist and motivational speaker; Shane and Shane; the Worship Initiative; and singer John Marc Kohl. Andrew Harris

The tour kicks off at Cedarville’s 10 a.m. chapel service, followed by a 3:30 p.m. discussion and a 7 p.m. worship night. Vujicic; Elizabeth Graham, CEO for Stand for Life; and Missie Branch, Vice President of Community Engagement for Stand for Life, will be speaking on topics such as what it means to be made in the image of God and “Standing for Life in a Culture of Death.”

All events are free and open to the public. To see the full schedule, go to cedarville.edu/standforlife.

“It’s important as we move away from Roe vs. Wade, we understand that the battle is not done,” said Andrew Harris, director of the Defending Life Summer Institute and associate professor of communication. “Now in each state, pro-life advocates must choose to take the battle to the steps of their state capitol and Stand for Life is just the organization we need to coordinate these efforts as the Church.”

The Stand for Life movement seeks to educate and engage a culture that believes all humans are made in the image of God. Stand for Life connects, unifies and mobilizes the Church to protect the dignity of all human life, both born and unborn.

“Stand for Life is stepping into a role that has been empty since the 1970s,” said Harris. “There have been few coordinated efforts to successfully involve the resources of the church into a unified front.”
