One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Airport Transportation

Flying home for break? No need to stress about rides to the airport — we’ve got you covered! Cedarville’s airport shuttle to and from Dayton International Airport makes your travel days easier.

Transportation to the airport is operated by Cedarville students through Campus Experience and runs during major breaks. It’s an easy, low-cost way to get where you need to go without arranging your own ride or worrying about parking.

Here’s how to reserve your seat, find shuttle times, and know what to do if plans change.

Which shuttle time should I register for?

Departures: You should register for a shuttle that is at least two hours before your scheduled flight time. The drive to the airport is usually 35–40 minutes, depending on traffic. For example, a shuttle scheduled to leave at 2 p.m. will arrive at the airport around 2:35–2:40 p.m.

Arrivals: The time indicated is the time the shuttle will leave the airport. If your flight arrives after or close to that time (less than 15 minutes before), please select a later shuttle. For example, the 12 p.m. shuttle leaves Dayton Airport at 12 p.m., so a student whose flight arrives at 11:55 a.m. should register for the 3 p.m. shuttle.

What are the available shuttle times?

Shuttle times vary by break (Getting Started Weekend, fall break, Thanksgiving break, Christmas break, spring break). The registration form lists the exact shuttle departure times available for each break. Click the relevant link below to view times and register.

Is there a deadline to register for the shuttle?

The deadline to register for shuttles is 72 hours before the first shuttle departs for the designated break. There are a limited number of seats per shuttle — when a shuttle is full, it will no longer appear on the webpage.

Why does Cedarville University only provide transportation to and from the Dayton International Airport?

The Dayton International Airport is only 33 miles from campus, while the Columbus and Cincinnati airports are over 60 miles away. Unfortunately, it is too costly and time-intensive to service rides to the other airports.

Who operates this service, and what is the cost each way?

Students who are members of the Campus Experience team operate this service. They schedule the shuttles and drivers, manage the online registration system, and answer all airport transportation questions.

We charge $50 each way to cover vehicle rental and shuttle driver labor costs.

What happens when my flight is canceled and I won’t be able to ride on the shuttle I signed up for?

Since this is a shuttle service (not a taxi service), we do not offer rides outside of our scheduled service window. If you return in time to catch another shuttle, you are welcome to take that one (space permitting).

If your flight is delayed or canceled, please text 937-532-9087 so we can notify drivers and make adjustments when possible.

If you arrive outside of the shuttle window, we will be unable to bring you back from the airport. You may request a refund, but you will need to arrange your own transportation (friend, taxi, or rideshare). Because our drivers are students who return to class after breaks, we cannot extend shuttle hours.

We are happy to serve you through this shuttle program, but please remember it is not an on-demand taxi service.

Refund Policy

You may cancel your reservation and receive a full refund up to two days (48 hours) before the first shuttle leaves (generally 5 a.m. on the last day of classes before a break). We cannot provide full refunds after this time because drivers and vehicles have been arranged.

If you need to cancel your reservation, please notify us as soon as possible and include your reason for cancellation.
