Stephanie Butler

Biography

Stephanie Butler is a marketing, communications, and outreach professional with more than 15 years of experience, including nearly two decades of leadership experience in healthcare, education, and community engagement. She most recently served as Director of Marketing, Communications, Growth, and Outreach for Clinton Memorial Hospital, where she was part of the executive leadership team and led strategic communications, marketing, physician outreach, community engagement, public relations, and growth initiatives.

Butler spent more than a decade in marketing, communications, and business development, including 12 years as vice president of BlueSky Creative Inc. Her experience includes working with higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, businesses, and nonprofits.

Butler began her professional career working with children and families through roles in teaching, youth programs, coaching, camps, and education before transitioning into marketing and communications in 2008. Her career has continued to bring together her passion for communication, leadership, education, and helping people find meaningful pathways for their future.

Throughout her career, Butler has focused on using communication to build relationships, strengthen organizations, tell meaningful stories, and connect people with opportunities. In healthcare, she led communications and community outreach across multiple counties in Southwest Ohio, worked closely with physicians and community partners, served as a public information officer for the Health Collaborative, and helped lead strategic initiatives addressing health equity, food insecurity, and access to care.

Her commitment to education and workforce development led her to serve as facilitator of the Clinton County Youth Collaborative and the Career Development Coach for Wilmington City Schools, where she helped students connect classroom learning and leadership skills with college, career, credential, internship, apprenticeship, and employment opportunities. She helped implement the E3 career-development model — 'Exposure, Exploration, and Experience' —and worked with schools, employers, community organizations, and workforce partners to expand opportunities for students.

Butler is also a founder of the Clinton County Workforce Collaborative, a partnership connecting education, business, workforce, and community organizations. She has served in leadership roles with the Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Wilmington-area workforce initiatives, Southwest Ohio ESC, Hope House, and Leadership Clinton's. In 2023, she was recognized as Clinton County Leader of the Year for her commitment to leadership and community development.

Butler is also active in her local church community and is passionate about using her professional experience and faith to encourage the next generation. A lifelong advocate for people and their potential, she believes effective leadership begins with listening, authentic relationships, and creating opportunities for others to grow.
