Position Description:

Cedarville University is seeking an Assistant Professor of Library Science to serve as a Health Sciences Librarian.  This position is a full-time, 12-month, non-tenure track position within the University’s Centennial Library reporting to the Director of Library Public Services. Possessing a health sciences education along with a library degree, the Health Sciences Librarian will contribute to the development and delivery of library instruction services, research and information services, and individual research assistance, with special focus on undergraduate and graduate nursing, pharmacy, kinesiology and allied health, psychology, and social work students and faculty. 

The Health Sciences Librarian will provide expert and innovative research support to students and faculty in the health sciences programs and will work with faculty to deliver an effective information literacy instruction strategy. He or she will also seek to implement partnerships with the health sciences programs. Working collaboratively as part of the library’s research team, the Health Sciences Librarian will help deliver research support services to all students and will assist with the effective implementation of innovative library technology, online tools, and digital services.

Cedarville University invites applications for a PA Program Director of Didactic Education (DDE) to create a new Physician Assistant (PA) graduate program. Rank is commensurate with experience. This position is a full-time faculty position.

Under the supervision of the PA Program Director, the DDE is responsible for the overall leadership and day-to-day management of the didactic phase of the PA Program. The DDE works with the Program Director to oversee and facilitate the didactic experience for faculty and students in accordance with the ARC-PA Standards, providing a curriculum of sufficient breadth and depth to prepare students for the clinical practice of medicine. The DDE will develop, maintain, oversee, and ensure adequacy and appropriateness of all didactic courses to ensure they are in accordance with ARC-PA standards as well as program outcomes and goals.

Cedarville University is seeking to hire an IT Support Tier 2 Technician that provides advising, installation, diagnostic, repair and technical support services for university and personally-owned technology and peripherals.  This is a full-time, non-exempt position that reports to the Director of Technical Sevices. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position works as a team member performing assigned tasks and taking proper initiative to resolve the following user issues: 

  • Installs or removes hardware and/or software, using supplied installation instructions and tools including, where appropriate, handover to the client. Conducts tests, corrects malfunctions, and documents results in accordance with agreed procedures. Reports details of all hardware/software items that have been installed and removed so that configuration management records can be updated. Provides assistance to users in a professional manner following agreed procedures for further help or escalation. Reviews change requests. Maintains accurate records of user requests, contact details and outcomes. Contributes to the development of installation procedures and standards
  • Identifies and resolves issues with applications, following agreed procedures. Uses application management software and tools to collect agreed performance statistics. Carries out agreed applications maintenance tasks.
  • Prioritizes and diagnoses incidents according to agreed procedures. Investigates causes of incidents and seeks resolution. Escalates unresolved incidents. Facilitates recovery, following resolution of incidents. Documents and closes resolved incidents according to agreed procedures.
  • Applies tools, techniques and processes to track, log and correct information related to configuration items. Verifies and approves changes ensuring protection of assets and components from unauthorized change, diversion and inappropriate use. Ensures that users comply with identification standards for object types, environments, processes, lifecycles, documentation, versions, formats, baselines, releases and templates. Performs audits to check the accuracy of information and undertakes any necessary corrective action under direction.
  • Assists in investigation and resolution of network problems. Assists with specified maintenance procedures.
  • Investigates problems in systems, processes and services. Assists with the implementation of agreed remedies and preventative measures. 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Experience in installation and maintenance of computers and related equipment (or an aptitude for such work)

Staff: School of Pharmacy - Co-Curricular Coordinator - PT

The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy seeks a part-time (1040 hours), non-exempt, Co-Curricular Coordinator to advance the mission of the program. The Coordinator helps create a bridge between didactic and experiential curricula to ensure appropriate preparation of graduates’ knowledge, skills, and attitudes. Various themes include professionalism, leadership, advocacy, collaborative engagement, lobbying, professional organization involvement, innovation, cultural competency, education, etc. The co-curriculum also includes various certification programs such as medication therapy management, immunization training, advanced cardiac life support, basic life support, etc.

Assessment of the co-curriculum is required and needs to be benchmarked to the Center for the Advancement of Pharmacy Education (CAPE) outcomes. Proficiencies need to be correlated with ACPE Standards. Assessment tools and student portfolio systems need to be developed and put in place. Our mission requires that spiritual development and growth be emphasized as a co-curricular requirement that needs to be expanded.

Responsibilities include expanding the co-curricular infrastructure, implementing and tracking assessment initiatives, coordinating on-campus and off-campus programming, identifying appropriate expertise, and coordinating evaluations necessary for ACPE reporting. The Co-Curricular Coordinator may also assist with other school needs, such as community and alumni engagement, to ensure the School of Pharmacy can maintain accreditation standards.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Greet those entering the Rec Center and provide limited security by checking ID’s and passes
  • Train and supervise student workers in the Recreation Center to ensure that they perform their responsibilities
  • Operate building systems, including P.A. systems, baskets, bleachers, nets and alarms
  • Track money collected through memberships and racket rentals and balance book
  • Know the facility emergency procedures and enforce all Recreation Center policies
  • Report facility problems to the Director
  • Provide customer service to all users and be an ambassador of “good will” for the University

Position Requirements:

  • Possess basic knowledge of the computer, including email, facility lighting, scheduling and membership software
  • Possess interpersonal communication skills with an emphasis on customer services
