Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintain, purge, and update department and CPS files, as well as the Chair’s personal files
  • Conduct correspondence via mail, email, phone, or fax
  • Assist in the proctoring of exams and quizzes as approved by the Chair
  • Prepare the minutes for department meetings and the annual department retreat
  • Assist faculty and staff members with computer skills
  • Possess working knowledge of FAX,  Appscan, and Microsoft Software 
  • Assist in the planning and execution of both departmental and CPS related events from the conception phase through event occurrence.
  • Construct and maintain a database of Center contacts
  • Oversee the maintenance of the department’s and CPS’s websites
  • Prepare and submit course changes and catalog revisions.
  • Investigate, conceive, or execute other Center related projects
  • Conduct research as coordinated by the Center Director
  • Schedule appointments for department faculty with prospective students.
  • Coordinate clinical teaching, senior presentations, and honors day awards.

Associate Vice President for Development, Advancement

Cedarville University is seeking an Associate Vice President for Development to manage the processes and personnel for direct donor interaction for major gifts and gift planning.  This is a full time, exempt position that reports to the Vice President for Advancement. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Supervise all aspects of the University major donor solicitation program including gift planning, grants and foundations.   
  • Supervise fund raising processes for the academic division and athletic department. 
  • Train, motivate, and evaluate direct reports.
  • Manage relationships with an assigned portfolio of approximately 75 – 100 donor prospects who have demonstrated capacity to make gifts of $10,000 or more annually.  Responsible for qualifying, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding each relationship according to established performance standards, which includes total number of contacts, visits, and funds raised in a fiscal year.  Travel averages approximately 7-10 days per month.
  • Participate in all aspects of the gift cycle:
  • Assist in the identification of major gift prospects
  • Qualify major gift prospects through personal contacts and visits
  • Draw prospects into a strong relationship with the University by connecting with their philanthropic interests and natural partners.  All interactions must reflect respect for the individual, sensitivity to his/her needs, and integrity in conduct.
  • Create and implement short-term, intermediate, and long-term solicitation plans for all primary donor assignments.
  • Maintain stewardship contacts with donors to enhance giving satisfaction
  • Work collaboratively with University staff, faculty, and leadership to effectively cultivate and steward donor relationships, applying sound strategy, humility, and grace.
  • Identify and facilitate strategic opportunities for prospects to interact with University leaders, including the President, Chancellor, board members, and administrators.
  • Represent the University at donor, community, and alumni events as necessary.
  • Develop strategies for scholarships, endowment, gift planning, athletic, and academic fundraising initiatives.  Supervise major gift solicitations.  Supervise marketing for gift planning and endowment fundraising.
  • Serve as primary liaison with business office pertaining to gift planning.
  • Develop strategies for academic and athletic fundraising initiatives.
  • Document activity according departmental standards
  • Attend regular Advancement staff and organization-wide meetings
  • Participate in quarterly dynamic portfolio review
  • Maintain consistent office presence in between travel for the purpose of building community and facilitating effective communication

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor degree required.  Master degree in a related field is preferred. Cedarville graduates preferred.
  • Seven to ten years of successful experience in major gift acquisition required.  Three years of supervisory experience required. Campaign experience, preferably in higher education, preferred.  Knowledge of planned giving and grant writing preferred.
  • Expertise in the following is required: interpersonal, written, and verbal communication, public speaking, strategic planning, data analysis

The Cedarville University School of Pharmacy Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking qualified candidates to fill open positions. Candidates should have an interest and expertise in ambulatory care, medication therapy management, and acute/critical care settings. The positions are full-time, clinical/tenure-track positions at the rank of assistant or associate professor.

Primary responsibilities include didactic and experiential teaching, clinical and instructional scholarship, and service to the department, school, university and the profession. Didactic teaching responsibility would be dependent on the candidates' interests and expertise. As a faculty member, the candidates will also maintain a clinical practice with primary responsibilities including: managing clinical services, supervising PharmD Residents/Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience PharmD students, and developing and executing novel clinical programs. All Cedarville University School of Pharmacy faculty engage in teaching, research, and service. Opportunities also exist for partnering with Cedarville University School of Nursing and Wright State University School of Medicine.

The ideal candidates should have a Doctor of Pharmacy degree, residency or fellowship training (or equivalent experience), and be eligible for licensure in the state of Ohio; board certification is highly desirable.
