Biography

If I were a CU student... I would try to get involved in the community both on and off campus as soon as possible! Finding a church to settle in, a community to grow in, and time to study well are all really important when it comes to stewarding all that the Lord has given to each of us. While on campus, Cedarville has a ton of opportunities to get involved and meet with the same interests as you have (I personally loved being a part of Chapel Bands and Campus Experience during my time as a student), and I would really recommend finding groups to be a part of! When it comes to academics, I would make sure that I set enough time aside from the fun, social opportunities to do well in my school work. It is easy to get caught up in the fun, but it is important to work hard and stay diligent in your studies to honor the Lord and the professors. It is a gift to get to make friends, serve, study, and grow in Christ alongside those in the same season, and I think Cedarville is the best place to learn how to balance all these aspects of life.

What is the best restaurant in the area? If you love Mexican food (and I absolutely do) El Speedy Gonzalez in Springfield, OH, is a place you HAVE to try! If you’re not a Mexican food person, I think that Cheng’s takeout in Xenia is also yummy!

What sets CU apart from other colleges and universities? Cedarville is an institution that not only says that they are a Christian University but a place where the individuals strive to walk out the calling of faithful, godly living in every aspect of their lives. Whether it is in academics, sports, bands, or even friendships, the people at Cedarville love Jesus and live for Him in everything that they do.

Hometown? Brookville, IN

Degree? B.A. in Worship

Best place to visit around Cedarville? The Cincinnati Art Museum is incredible. I would highly recommend that everyone who comes to Cedarville goes at least once during their time as a student. If you wanted to stay in Cedarville, though, there is a really cute town park that people can take walks in, and it is just lovely!

Bucket list item? I’d love to visit Israel to walk in the places Jesus walked and see the places talked about in the Bible!
