For the ACSI art festival, students display original artwork in various mediums. Selected judges rank the artwork according to grade levels and categories.
The art students will attend several workshops in the morning to experiment with various styles of art including image transfers, photography and sculptures.
During the ACSI music festival, some students will perform solo music solo, while others perform in ensembles such as orchestra, band and choir. Students will also attend workshops throughout the day.
While the music festival is not a competition, students receive feedback on their performances from qualified judges. Carlos Elias, professor of music and director of the Cedarville orchestra, who will serve as a judge this year, said he enjoys interacting with the students and giving them encouraging feedback. “And the students get to know Cedarville,” he added.
