Father-son adventure hits Cedarville's campus

by Madi Cannon, Public Relations Writer

Cedarville University will host the Born to Be Brave conference on Wednesday, Nov. 1. The event will seek to develop and strengthen relationships between fathers and sons, and is set to take place at 6:30 p.m. in the Stevens Student Center's DeVries Theatre.

Born to Be Brave’s one-night adventure is for boys ages 7-12. The fun-filled evening is designed to give fathers, father figures and grandfathers the tools to connect with their boys as they enjoy an action-packed guy’s night out. A wheel of destruction, 2,000 ping-pong balls, and digging into God’s Word will highlight the evening.

The event will feature speaker and Cedarville alumnus Bob Gresh and the high-energy live worship music of the Allan Scott Band. Gresh is the creator of Born to Be Brave and co-founder of True Girl.

“Our hope and prayer is that fathers and sons will build lasting bonds around the love that God has for them in the gospel,” said Wade Harris, of Born to Be Brave. “Many fathers struggle knowing how to connect with their sons around spiritual matters, and we want to help jump-start that in a fun and meaningful way.”

Register for Born to Be Brave online here. Cost is $20 for general admission.
