"Desiring God" Editor to Speak in Chapel

David Mathis, executive editor for desiringGod.org, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Monday, Oct. 15. Chapel begins at 10 a.m.

Desiring God is a ministry that believes that people can only find their deepest joy by pursuing God’s glory. Mathis regularly contributes to the Desiring God blog.

Mathis is also a pastor at Cities Church in Saint Paul, Minnesota, where he is the community group leader for the Ericsson neighborhood. He is also an adjunct professor at Bethlehem College and Seminary in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

He has co-written books with John Piper and is the author of “Habits of Grace: Enjoying Jesus through the Spiritual Disciplines,” which is a textbook for one of Cedarville’s Bible minor courses, The Bible and the Gospel.

Mathis lives with his wife, Megan, and their four children in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
