Kentucky State Professor Coming to Chapel

Dr. Kevin JonesDr. Kevin Jones, chair of the school of education and human development at Kentucky State University (KSU), will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday, Sept. 24, and Wednesday, Sept. 25. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.

Jones is the co-editor of the book “Removing the Stain of Racism from the Southern Baptist Convention: Diverse African American and White Perspectives.” He is also a contributor to “Perspectives on Family Ministry (Second Edition).” Jones is currently writing “Race Unraveled,” a biography on the late Dr. T. Vaughn Walker, the first African-American faculty member in the Southern Baptist Convention.

Jones is a graduate of KSU. He holds his doctorate in educational leadership from Spalding University.

He is a research fellow for the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention and is an adjunct professor for The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary.

Jones and his wife, Demica, have three children: Kennedi, Kevin Jr., and Karsynn.

He serves as a teacher at Buck Run Baptist Church in Frankfort, Kentucky.
