Skip Prichard, president and CEO of Online Computer Library Center (OCLC) and best-selling author, will speak in chapel at Cedarville University on Tuesday, Jan. 15. Chapel begins at 10 a.m. and is open to the public.
OCLC is a global nonprofit and computer library cooperative that shares technology services, original research and community programs for its membership and the library community.
Before his time at OCLC, Prichard served as president and CEO for Ingram Content Group, Inc., a $1.5 billion global content provider, and ProQuest Information & Learning, a global information and technology company.
In 2018, Prichard wrote “The Book of Mistakes: 9 Secrets to Creating a Successful Future.” One week after the book’s debut, it hit “Publisher’s Weekly” top 25 for nonfiction. A few weeks later, the book was number eight on the best-sellers list for the Wall Street Journal.
Prichard also regularly updates his personal leadership blog, “Leadership Insights,” where he shares his thoughts on decades of studying leadership psychology and interviewing more than 1,000 of the most successful people in the world.
Prichard received his Bachelor of Science degree from Towson State University in Towson, Maryland, and his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Baltimore School of Law in Baltimore, Maryland.
