One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

by Caroline Kimball, Communications Content Manager

Is a four-day school week really part of our future?

Today, over 900 schools in 26 states are participating in this new way of learning. As a result, participating schools have been able to cut costs on transportation and food while also boosting teacher morale.

Since COVID, nearly 40% of teachers have resigned. Teachers across the country are worn out, and this new method is an attempt to alleviate the toll.

Kevin Jones, dean of Cedarville University School of Education, sat down with Spectrum News1 to discuss this new trend.

“Retention is especially important right now, as teachers are vacating their posts across the nation,” said Jones.
