Cedarville Traditions

Getting Started
Your first weekend on campus will be an exciting time to move in, meet new friends, and get connected to Cedarville. We’ve got an awesome weekend planned to make the transition fun and easy for you and your whole family. You'll get acclimated to the Cedarville culture as your parents are assured that you are safe and in good hands.

Kick-Off Party
Come visit the tents and booths of more than 100 orgs, ministries, and vendors as you explore how you can be involved at Cedarville and in the community! Then grab some friends and head to the SSC hillside for live music, fun activities, HUGE prize giveaways and, of course, a movie by the lake. There’s no better way to kick off the new year!

ALT Nights
The ALT Night (The Alternative) is the largest consecutive campus event that Cedarville offers. ALTs feature a wide variety of themed activities, like games and pre-release movies on the big screen, and they’re always free! ALTs also features unique opportunities that encourage you to serve others and give back. You'll have fun as you build community on campus.

Coffee and Community
Meet at Stinger's, put away your phone and devices, and be prepared to build meaningful relationships through intentional conversations over a great cup of coffee. It's this type of authentic community that makes Cedarville truly unique!

Campus Christmas
Take a break from exam preparation as you celebrate Campus Christmas. You'll enjoy music, movies, games, pictures with Santa and his elves, a late-night breakfast, and most importantly, a time to celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. It's the most wonderful time of the year!
Interruption
Interruption nights are just that — an interruption from studying, stress, and striving. Grab some friends and join fellow Yellow Jackets at Stinger's for an evening of great music, featuring student bands and solo artists.

Elliv
Elliv, 'Ville spelled backward, is a unique student-run event that celebrates campus culture and the collective talent of the student body. This high-energy celebration is a highly anticipated Cedarville tradition that marks the end of the school year with music, dance, awards, and great memories.

CU Lead
CU LEAD is a dynamic conference that equips and inspires leaders to be exceptional in all areas of life. Through an exploration of a biblical definition of leadership, you will be equipped with the knowledge and skills to implement positive change through effective stewardship, influence, and service.

Campus Experiences
SGA, or the Student Government Association, is dedicated to serving Cedarville University's students through Christ-like leadership. We are striving to make changes that make SGA more equipped to help the students we serve. If there is anything we can help you with, stop by and let us know! We are located in the lower SSC (Stevens Student Center)!

Rinnova
Rinnova exists to provide a coffeehouse atmosphere at Cedarville University, to provide our customers with consistent and quality drinks, and to engage our customers in authentic conversation.

CAB
The Campus Activity Board, or CAB, has the goal of providing creative, diverse, and original programming and services that emphasize community development on campus.
