Mark Mathews has served as the Director of Campus Recreation at Cedarville University since 1984. He earned an undergraduate degree in Physical Education in 1982 from Cedarville College and a master's degree in Recreation/Sports Management in 1990 from The Ohio State University. Mark has been an Adjunct Instructor in what is now called the Allied Health and Psychology Department since 1984. He enjoys a variety of recreational activities including running, biking, hiking, weight training, rock climbing and disc golf.

Mark (CU 1982) and his wife, Dawn (CU 1984) reside in Xenia. They have six grown children: Melissa (CU '08), Daniel (CU '11), Greg (CU '13), Emily 22 (CU '16), John (CU '21) and Hannah (CU ‘23) and 12 grandchildren. The Mathews reside in Xenia and have been involved in the ministry of Calvary Baptist Church since 1983.
