One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Equipping and Discipling the Next Generation of Christian PAs

Discover a different kind of PA school.

Cedarville University is a unique place, where Jesus Christ and the Word of God are held in high regard. This affects everyone across our community, from the Board of Trustees to faculty and staff to students, and it affects everything we do throughout the curriculum and in our daily lives. You’ll find these same foundational principles infuse our PA (Physician Assistant) program.

Cedarville’s accredited PA program will equip you through excellent, biblically focused education to become a highly skilled healthcare practitioner who treats illness and addresses the needs of the whole patient. The 24-month Master of Medical Science in PA Studies (M.M.Sc.-PA) is offered on Cedarville University's campus in southwest Ohio and provides you with access to high-quality medical education, committed faculty, and University resources alongside other strong graduate and undergraduate healthcare programs.

Accreditation

Regional and State

The program has received approval from both the Ohio Department of Higher Education and Higher Learning Commission to offer the Master of Medical Science in PA Studies degree.

Cedarville University holds institutional accreditation and approval (including that of the Higher Learning Commission) to award undergraduate and graduate degrees. Contact the HLC for questions about the accreditation of Cedarville University.

Professional

The Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the PA (ARC-PA) has granted Accreditation-Provisional status to the Cedarville University Physician Assistant Program sponsored by Cedarville University. Accreditation - Provisional is an accreditation status granted when the plans and resource allocation, if fully implemented as planned, of a proposed program that has not yet enrolled students appear to demonstrate the program's ability to meet the ARC-PA Standards or when a program holding Accreditation- Provisional status appears to demonstrate continued progress in complying with the Standards as it prepares for the graduation of the first class (cohort) of students.

Accreditation-Provisional does not ensure any subsequent accreditation status. It is limited to no more than five years from matriculation of the first class. The program's accreditation history can be viewed on the ARC-PA website.

Cedarville University anticipates matriculating its first class in May 2023. Comprehensive program policies are available to review and status updates will be posted as they occur; please contact us if you have questions about where we are in the process.

Proudly Supporting the PA History Society

The Cedarville PA Program proudly supports the efforts of the PA History Society. For over 30 years, the Physician Assistant History Society, Inc., has dedicated itself to the history and legacy of the physician assistant profession through the identification and collection of appropriate media (e.g., papers, manuscripts, magazine and newspaper clippings, newsletters, reports, dissertations, oral histories, and visual artifacts, such as films, slides, videos, photographs, and digital images) that document the profession's incredible growth and development.
