Discover Palmer Hall!

Palmer Hall is part of a group of four residence halls affectionately known as “The Hill.” The Hill is located on the south side of campus, behind the Engineering and Science Center. Collectively, The Hill houses just over 200 male students, approximately 70% underclassmen and 30% upperclassmen, in hall style layouts.

Each hall houses between 20–28 students, with a Resident Assistant serving each hall. Each of the four halls share a two-story coed lounge area with TVs, a pool table, pingpong table and comfortable furniture for residents to use to hang out with friends or study. Individual halls also have male only lounges that are used for Bible studies, meetings, group projects, or watching movies with friends.

Community at Palmer

Spiritual Life at Palmer

Residents of The Hill value discipleship. Together we seek to grow as disciples of Christ while discipling others. Every hall is led by a Resident Assistant (RA), who is being personally mentored by the Resident Director. Each RA holds weekly meetings that are used for Bible studies, prayer, and community-building. Residents are encouraged to attend these weekly hall meetings. RAs are also available to mentor students who are seeking to grow in their walk with Christ, with the goal of creating a culture of "disciples making disciples." Several times a year there are all-dorm events called "Vantage Point" where a guest speaker is brought in to discuss what it looks like for a man to pursue Christ and His kingdom in all the roles that a man fills in life after college.

Traditions at Palmer

A favorite tradition of The Hill is an all-dorm cookout at the beginning and end of the year called the "The Hill Grill." This is a great time of fellowship, having fun, and eating good grilled food. We also do an annual "Battle of the Beards" contest during No-Shave November, with prizes given to winners in a variety of categories. The Residence Life leadership team at The Hill is also exploring some new and exciting traditions to implement in the future!
