Cedarville Academic Scholarships

Note: This information is valid for new students entering Cedarville in 2008–09.

Financial Need Assessment:

Calculating Financial Need
  Total Basic Costs (tuition, room, and board)
- Expected Famliy Contribution (EFC)
- Scholarships and Grants
= Financial Need


Continuing student status with 3.2 or higher Cedarville cumulative GPA
Financial need (see financial need assessment below)


Student must file a FAFSA each academic year to be considered for this need-based scholarship.

Is Need Based?



  • Each student's award will be determined by their cumulative GPA as follows:
    3.5 - 4.000: 20% of unmet need (maximum award of $3,500)
    3.2 - 3.499: 10% of unmet need (maximum award of $3,500)
  • may be awarded in addition to any of the merit-based academic scholarships (Cedarville Scholar Award, Dean's Scholarship, National Scholar Award, President's Scholarship, or Faculty Scholarship)


Based on financial need and a Cedarville cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
