Cedarville Academic Scholarships

Note: This information is valid for new students entering Cedarville in 2009–10.

Financial Need Assessment:

Calculating Financial Need
  Total Basic Costs (tuition, room, and board)
- Expected Famliy Contribution (EFC)
- Scholarships and Grants
= Financial Need

Criteria:

  • New Students:
    • a recipient of one of Cedarville's merit-based academic scholarship (Cedarville Scholar Award, Dean's Scholarship, National Scholar Award, President's Scholarship, or Faculty Scholarship)
    • financial need (see financial need assessment below)
  • Returning Students:
    • a Cedarville cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
    • financial need (see financial need assessment below)

Application:

Student must file a FAFSA for each academic year to be considered for this need-based scholarship

Is Need Based?

Yes

Award:

  • for recipients of the Faculty Scholarship, up to $2,200
  • for recipients of the President's Scholarship, up to $3,500
  • may be awarded in addition to any of the merit-based academic scholarships (Cedarville Scholar Award, Dean's Scholarship, National Scholar Award, President's Scholarship, or Faculty Scholarship)

Renewable:

Based on financial need and a Cedarville cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher
