Heyd Math/Science Award
Established in 2001 by David and Jean Heyd, this endowed scholarship was created to encourage and assist deserving University students and to honor their parents, Charles and E. LaRue Wilcox and Elmer and Kathy Heyd. The scholarship is awarded to full-time sophomore or junior students who are pursuing a degree within the department of science and mathematics. Recipients must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.3 and must demonstrate a balance between devotion and service to God and diligence in their academic studies. Financial need is not required but may be considered. Candidates should complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FASFA) if interested in the scholarship. The school of science and math faculty select the recipients.
