Betsy Linnell, B.S.E.Assistant Professor of Psychology
Betsy Linnell is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with her Supervisory Endorsement. She worked for six years as an elementary school teacher before discovering that she enjoyed working with students in the hallway on their spiritual, social, and emotional issues even more than teaching basic core academic subjects. She returned to school to get her master's degree in counseling and began to work in public mental health, where she has spent the last eight years serving children, adolescents, and their families as a professional counselor. She is a Certified Trauma Practitioner and has a wealth of clinical knowledge that she uses to teach her courses in counseling.
