* All classes are first come-first serve. 

* Participants may sign up ahead of time in person up at the Rec Center Welcome Desk 
starting at 6:10 a.m. the morning of the class. Participants may also wait until right before class begins to sign up (unless the class is full).

* All classes are FREE of charge and are primarily for current students, faculty, staff and spouses of  current students, faculty and staff.

2017-Spring Group Exercise Class Description's:

Spin Class with Jenna: Spin class provides a fun, hour-long cardiovascular workout that includes strength, core and stamina training all while riding along to upbeat music. No prior experience necessary: all men and women are encouraged and more than welcome to come!

Power Hour: An interval style workout that incorporates weight lifting, aerobics, and pilates for a super effective total-body workout! Great for all levels of fitness!

Power Pilates: An interval style pilates workout mixed with heart-pumping cardio to tighten muscles and burn fat. No pilates experience necessary!

Total Body Fitness: "Energetic group workout focusing on strength, cardio, and core all in one session! We use a variety of exercise equipment but most importantly your own body weight to target major muscle groups. Classes start with a brief cardio segment to warm up and then focus on strength training designed to target your entire body! No prior experience is necessary, so bring your friends and come check it out!"

STRONG by Zumba: STRONG by Zumba™is a one-hour group fitness class that utilizes a combination of HIIT, body weight exercises and strength conditioning led by the music. Expect an overall body transformation with improved muscular definition and high caloric burn.

Swing Dance-Beginner Class: (Tuesdays, 5:20-6:20pm)

Instructors: Caleb Winn and Lauren Matson 

Great introductory class into the exciting world of East Coast swing dancing! For this beginner class, we will focus on teaching the basic fundamentals and ground-work of swing dancing and progress from there. Everyone is welcome to come, the class has an open-door policy, and there are no requirements other than a pair of shoes and having fun! The beginner class is recommended for first-timers and those wishing to work on the basics.

 

Swing Dance-Intermediate Class: (Fridays, 5:20-6:20pm)

Instructors: Caleb Winn and Lauren Matson

The next level class of East Coast swing dancing that we love to offer! For this intermediate class, we will focus on teaching advanced movements of swing dancing, mostly involving aerials and how to integrate such advanced skills into swing dancing. Everyone is welcome to come, the class has an open-door policy, and there are no requirements other than a pair of shoes and having fun! The intermediate class is recommended for those with good swing-dancing experience, capability of lifting and carrying {for the guys}, and those wishing to extend their abilities in dancing.
