This Is Cedarville
History of Cedarville
In 1887, Cedarville College was established by five godly men who envisioned a college that would provide Christian higher education. Throughout its history, God has blessed Cedarville with incredible growth, from state-of-the-art facilities to professional programs, but one thing has remained the same: For 130 years, we have stood “For the Word of God and the Testimony of Jesus Christ.”
Cedarville University is located on 400 acres at the north edge of the village of Cedarville, a quiet town in southwest Ohio. Cedarville’s academic facilities and labs boast technology and resources you’d expect to find only at major research universities. Approximately 80 percent of our undergraduate students live in on-campus housing, where lifelong friendships and unforgettable memories are made.
Cedarville University’s 98.3% career outcomes rates — including graduates who are working in their fields of study — consistently outperform national benchmarks. Fortune 500 companies, top government agencies, and educational institutions recruit our graduates because of their career preparation, high-level integrity, and incredible work ethic.
