Our affordable, accredited, and online nurse practitioner program includes assessment, diagnosis, management, and treatment of common acute and chronic health problems, health promotion, client and family education, and use of evidence-based practice for meeting the needs for primary care and prevention. The biblically integrated coursework will influence the care you provide as an advanced practice nurse.

Online Pediatric Nurse Practitioner Highlights

Convenient – All M.S.N. courses are offered in an online format. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner area of focus has four required on-campus experiences for Clinical Orientation (two days each, for a total of eight days), NSG-6800, NSG-6810, NSG-6820, and NSG-6830.

Flexible – Part-time and full-time completion options.

Outstanding Christian Faculty – You will be taught and mentored by faculty members who have both high academic credentials and clinical experience. They are passionate about helping you use nursing as a ministry.

Certification and Licensure – Our program qualifies you to sit for the national certification American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) National Certification Board exam or American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) exam and find employment. If you reside outside of Ohio you should contact your state board of nursing regarding the rules and regulations pertaining to licensure/clinical supervision and additional guidance before beginning the M.S.N. program. The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner area of focus prepares you as an advanced practice nurse to provide primary care for children from birth to age 21. As a graduate of the M.S.N. Pediatric Nurse Practitioner  program, you will be qualified to seek national certification and employment as a pediatric nurse practitioner.

Primary Care Pediatric Nurse Practitioners work in a variety of primary care settings in collaboration with a healthcare team.

Opportunities to Learn Outside the Classroom

You will work collaboratively with students in online learning environment.  The Pediatric Nurse Practitioner area of focus has a total of 600 supervised direct clinical hours.

You will complete 12 graduate nursing core semester hours, 9 direct care core semester hours, 20 semester hours of Pediatric Nurse Practitioner specialty courses, and 3 semester hours of a graduate-level Bible course (if this Bible requirement was not previously satisfied with an undergraduate Bible minor or approved alternative).
