Admission Requirements
Admission to the Master of Business Administration (MBA) program requires meeting the University's general admission criteria, application requirements, and the following:
- Evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Official transcripts confirming a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or otherwise approved institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale. Conditional acceptance may be offered in certain circumstances where the overall GPA is at least 2.0. Specific conditions will be decided by the MBA Admissions Committee.
- Completion of the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) may be required for those with a grade point average below 2.75. Some exceptions are made on an individual basis. The GRE is an acceptable alternative.
- Computer proficiency and ability to take courses in an online environment.
- One professional or academic reference (faculty member or supervisor) and one Christian character reference (pastoral or mentor). Family members and personal friends are not eligible to serve as references.
NOTE: No undergraduate business prerequisite courses are required.

Each applicant will be reviewed on an individual basis according to criteria established by the Robert W. Plaster School of Business and Graduate Admissions. Applicants who present satisfactory evidence of their ability to perform at the graduate level are admitted to the MBA program. Business Foundations Courses
What are the Business Foundations courses?
All MBA students complete the Foundations of Business sequence (BUS 5000 and BUS 5010) as part of the program. These assessment-informed courses provide a personalized review of core business concepts, ensuring every student begins the MBA with a strong foundation regardless of previous academic or professional experience. The Foundations sequence is included in the MBA program at no additional cost.
How do the Business Foundations courses work?
Early in the sequence, you’ll complete an assessment that evaluates your business knowledge. Based on your results, you’ll receive a personalized set of learning modules focused on areas where additional preparation would be beneficial. Students who demonstrate proficiency in a subject area may not be be required to complete the corresponding review module.
The Business Foundations courses are:
- Completed as part of the MBA program
- Personalized to your learning needs
- Pass/fail and non-credit-bearing
- Included in MBA program fees at no additional cost
Students retain access to the learning modules throughout the MBA program, providing a valuable resource as they progress through advanced coursework.
