Admission to the Master of Theological Studies (MTS) program from Cedarville Theological Seminary requires meeting the University's general admission criteria and application requirements, including the following:

  1. Evidence of a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
  2. Official transcripts confirming a bachelor's degree from a regionally accredited or otherwise approved institution with a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.3 on a 4.0 scale. Conditional acceptance may be offered in certain circumstances.
  3. One professional or academic reference (faculty member or supervisor) and one pastoral reference. Family members and personal friends are not eligible to serve as references.

Resources Needed for Your Application

As the applicant, you are responsible for gathering and submitting all the necessary materials required to have your application reviewed.

  • Official transcripts — You must request these from your previous institutions (include graduate transcripts for any transfer credit you want considered).
  • Christian character reference — You will provide an email address on your application and we will send your reference a form to complete.
  • Academic recommendation — You will provide an email address on your application and we will send your recommender a form to complete.

Each applicant will be reviewed on an individual basis according to criteria established by the School of Biblical and Theological Studies and Graduate Enrollment. Applicants who present satisfactory evidence of their ability to perform at the graduate level are eligible for admission to the Master of Theological Studies program.
