As you study at Cedarville, you have a network of helpful people and resources dedicated to helping you succeed!
Make the most of your time here by taking advantage of the free guidance and help that they offer.
Explore your network of support:
As an international student, you'll be paired with an academic coach to help you achieve at your highest academic level. We want you to feel supported academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. Academic coaching will help ensure your success in the classroom and add value to the educational investment you are making.
As you begin your studies in the United States, the learning habits you develop will influence the rest of your education. The one-credit hour Foundations course, which you'll take as a new international student, will help you adapt to college-level learning in the U.S. If you are a missionary kid (MK) or third culture kid (TCK) student, you are highly encouraged to take the Foundations course as well. You will explore strategies for taking notes and tests, thinking critically, and writing in academic English. You'll also learn how best to balance your priorities and manage your time well.
The class size is intentionally small, and your professor will help you advocate for your unique goals. You will identify your strengths, discover what motivates you to succeed, and learn to steward these gifts for God's glory. The habits and goals you develop will not only prepare you for college, but also equip you for a lifetime of success.
The Cove, Cedarville's academic enrichment center, provides study groups, tutors, and peer coaches for students who want to ensure they are achieving to their fullest potential. If you need additional support or have a disability, The Cove will provide necessary accommodations. Although speaking English as a second language is not considered a disability, The Cove will work together with International Student Services to make sure that you're receiving all the support you need to succeed in the classroom.Learn More About The Cove
