Beginning Chinese

March 19, 2013 from 7:00 p.m.–8:30 p.m.

The purpose of this non-credit course is to introduce students to the basic skills in recognizing common Chinese scrips and characters as well as listening to and speaking the Mandarin dialect. Included will be an overview of basic family dynamics, cultural and religious expressions, and commonplace customs and lifestyles. Assignments will be made from the required text.

The class will be offered every Tuesday and Thursday from March 19 to April 25.
