The Process of Pursuing God's Kingdom — 10/26/2006

Bruce McDonald, a Cedarville graduate, began working with ABWE in 1977, serving as a church planter in Austin, Texas, and later creating Pro-Athlete Spiritual Service (PASS) Ministry. During this time he served as chaplain for the Philadelphia 76ers basketball team, and conducted more than 600 chapels for various sporting events. In 2002, McDonald became ABWE's international director of sports, coordinating and developing the use of sports and recreation in church planting. Beginning in January 2006, he was asked to start Coach Ministry, geared to assist missionaries and pastors and their families. This ministry involves holding Spiritual Life Conferences both in the U.S. and overseas, writing materials for missionaries and pastors, and providing opportunities for them to be refreshed and refocused. McDonald has authored three books (Bridge Evangelism, Real Men Pray, and The Fight of Faith) and several magazine articles featuring Christian athletes.
