Tim Armstrong is the senior pastor of Crossroads Community Church in Mansfield, Ohio. A 1989 Cedarville University graduate, Tim and his wife, Michelle (Bumgardner '90), launched Crossroads as a church plant in 1996 after finishing seminary. Pastor Armstrong challenged the students to ask these questions when determining what God wants them to do in life: "Will it benefit me spiritually?", "Will it benefit others spiritually?", and "Will it benefit the work of Christ?".

Pat Estepp has been the head men's basketball coach at Cedarville University since the 2008-09 season. A 1997 graduate of Cedarville with a degree in physical education, he was a student assistant at the school during his senior year and went on to acquire coaching experience at all levels of basketball. He earned a master's degree in education from Cedarville in 2008. He encouraged the students to live their lives for others, to work hard at what they do, and to persevere through difficult times.
