This is Alumni Week in chapel. Today we welcome Kirk Belmont, a 1990 graduate of Cedarville University. He currently serves as the Lead Pastor at Hope Community Church in Mount Joy, Pennsylvania. The text for his message is Psalm 42. Kirk said that there are difficult times in life when we question where God is. He shared the story of when his own son died of Leukemia. He said it is okay to ask "God, where are you?". In the end, we must put our hope in God.

This is Alumni Week in chapel. Today we welcome Tom Chmura, a 1978 graduate of Cedarville University. The text for his message is Hebrews 5:11-14. Mr. Chmura encouraged the audience not to protest and boycott things in culture we don't agree with. Instead, we need to add to the culture with elements that show Christ's truth and love. He also taught that while we need to use social media, we should not get caught up in the "speed" of it. We are called to wait upon the Lord, which he described as a characteristic of a mature Christian.
