Institutional Research

The Office of Institutional Research (IR) exists to provide university-level information to promote organizational understanding at Cedarville University and to support data-driven decision-making for administrative and academic operations for the efficient and effective use of resources. IR coordinates reporting requirements for internal and external constituents, including the following:

  • IPEDS reports
  • College Board, Peterson’s, U.S. News, Princeton Review, and numerous other reports and surveys
  • Annual Factbook
  • Measurement of Student Outcomes through the reporting of
    • Enrollment/Persistence
    • Degrees Conferred
    • Retention Rates
    • Graduation Rates
    • Student Diversity
    • Student Engagement
    • Career Outcomes
  • Student evaluations of courses through CoursEval 
  • Student satisfaction surveys, including the National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE) and the Ruffalo Noel Levitz Student Satisfaction Inventory (SSI)
