Travel Programs must be carefully selected. Academic strengths, experiential quality, costs and other issues need to be considered. Planning ahead is crucial.

Australian Studies Centre

The Australia Studies Centre is a cultural studies program with an arts focus, based in Sydney, Australia. The program is run by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities (CCCU), an international association of intentionally Christian colleges and universities. Designed to provide undergraduates of all majors and career interests with the opportunity to study the arts and theology in Sydney, the program also emphasizes Indigenous studies and faithful, global involvement.

Contemporary Music Center

The Contemporary Music Center provides you with the opportunity to live and work in the refining context of community while seeking to understand how God will have them integrate music, faith and business. The CMC offers three tracks: the Artist, Business and Technical Tracks. The Artist Track is tailored to students considering careers as vocalists, musicians, songwriters, recording artists, performers and producers. The Business Track is designed for arts management, marketing, communications and related majors interested in possible careers as artist managers, agents, music publishers, tour managers, concert promoters and entertainment industry entrepreneurs. The Technical Track prepares you for a career in live sound, concert lighting and studio recording. Within each of the tracks you will receive instruction, experience and a uniquely Christ-centered perspective on creativity and the marketplace, while working together to create and market a recording of original music. Each track includes coursework, labs, directed study and a practicum. You will earn 16 semester hours of credit.

Los Angeles Film Studies Center

Founded in 1991, the Los Angeles Film Studies Center is designed to train students to serve in various aspects of the film industry with both professional skill and Christian integrity. Each semester, students live, learn, and work in L.A. The curriculum consists of two required seminars, Hollywood Production Workshop and Theology in Hollywood, focusing on the role of film in culture and the relationship of faith to work in this very influential industry. In addition, students choose one elective course from a variety of offerings in film studies. Internships in various segments of the film industry provide students with hands-on experience. The combination of the internship and seminars allows students to explore the film industry within a Christian context and from a liberal arts perspective. Students earn 16 semester hours of credit, 6 from the internship and 10 from seminar study.

Middle East Studies Program

As a program sponsored by the Council for Christian Colleges & Universities, the Middle East Studies Program is academically grounded in a Christian liberal arts context. Efforts are made to fully integrate the Christian faith with the curriculum and community life.

Uganda Studies Program

The Uganda Studies Program is hosted by Uganda Christian University (UCU), an international affiliate of the CCCU located 45 minutes east of the capital city of Kampala. The program provides students with immersion in a local community as well as broad exposure to a variety of people and places in Uganda and Rwanda.

CIEE - Council for International Education Exchange

While CIEE offers programs in over 40 countries and over 150 subject areas, Cedarville recommends that students choose from a select few. Fifty four of the 178 study abroad programs do not have a language pre-requisite. Approval to apply online must be received from the Office of International Programs prior to applying.

Creation Care Institute

The Creation Care Study program is a high-caliber academic semester abroad connecting Christian faith with the most complex, urgent global issues of the coming decades in environmental biology.

Two programs are offered during both fall and spring semesters: one in Belize, Central America and one in the South Pacific (New Zealand and Samoa).

DC Semester

Join students and a Cedarville faculty member for Cedarville's first semester program in Washington, D.C., a life-changing and energizing time of learning, development, and service.

Experience everything Washington, D.C., has to offer as you gain an insider's perspective on American politics and government. You'll develop practical skills through hands-on involvement in your chosen field. With coursework and internship opportunities designed to benefit students of all majors, a semester in Washington, D.C., offers all the advantages of Cedarville's Christ-centered education and community.

Participate in an experience that few Christian schools currently offer. To coincide with its goal to impact the world for Christ, Cedarville provides this unique opportunity in partnership with its Center for Political Studies. Established in 2004, the Center seeks to articulate a biblical view of government through the study of politics, law, history, and public policy and to engage and influence American political culture.

Interact with professionals in an environment that will help equip you for all your career endeavors. You'll be mentored by a Cedarville alumnus in the D.C. area who shares your interests and goals. And you'll leave with new friendships and network capabilities with others in your field.

International Business Institute

This program is designed to give students in economics, business management and related areas a distinctive opportunity for a term of study that incorporates the international dimension of these fields in an experiential context overseas. The program is ten weeks in length and includes several periods of significant residence in key locations as well as coordinated visits and presentation in the major political and economic centers of Europe and Asia.


This is a rigorous academic program and students are expected to have completed a full year of principles of economics, and a semester of accounting or finance. In addition, one course in management and marketing is required. A minimum GPA of 2.75 is required at the time of participation. A positive recommendation from the faculty and the appropriate student affairs office is required along with an official transcript.

Jerusalem University College

Founded in 1957 as a graduate institution, the school now provides both graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to study the Christian Scriptures in the context of the land where the events occurred as well as the languages, social and political culture, religions and historical relationships of the Middle East.

LCC International University

Complete 15 to 17 semester hours, travel throughout Lithuania, spend a week in Russia, and live with other European students. Programs offered in Business Administration, English Language and Literature, Psychology, Theology and TESOL. Summer programs are also available. OSAP - Oxford Study Abroad Program

Oxford Study Abroad Program (OSAP)

Accepted Cedarville students become affiliated members of the junior common rooms of their Oxford colleges. They live in double room housing with one or more British or other non-American student residents and may take most of their meals in their Oxford college dining hall at a low cost.

Students study for 12-13 weeks in tutorials taught by tutors of Oxford Colleges. Each tutorial has one tutor and usually one student.

Semester in Spain

Would you like to study abroad for a semester in Spain while keeping a Christian college focus? If so, the Cedarville University study abroad in Spain program is for you.

Here is what you can expect when spending a semester in Spain with Cedarville’s study abroad program:

  • Study abroad at the institute of Spanish studies in Valencia. Whether you're a student with little or no Spanish background, this is a great chance to improve language skills, take courses for the Spanish major, or complete the Spanish minor. There is also a chance to take advantage of a physical education course.
  • Experience the culture of everyday Spanish life as you live and interact with your host family and take opportunities to travel Europe on your own or in small groups.
  • Participate in cultural activities and trips to other cities in Spain.
  • Interact with Spanish students through special programs.

The  cost for the program is the same as attending Cedarville for a semester. Airfare to Spain is additional. Opportunities for financial aid are the same as for residential students.
