Why Study Nursing at Cedarville?

What Can You Do With a Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree?

Graduates of the BSN program at Cedarville University are eligible to earn their Registered Nurse license. You will be prepared to sit for the National Council Licensure Examination for Registered Nurses (NCLEX).

You will find Cedarville University School of Nursing graduates serving across the United States and internationally. Our graduates are working at Cleveland Clinic, Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Ohio State University Wexner Center, Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, among others.

State-of-the-Art Simulation Labs — You will experience realistic, life-sized simulators to develop your clinical judgment and decision-making in a safe, true-to-life clinical setting.

Clinical Experiences Starting Your First Year — Starting with your freshman year, you will begin clinical experiences at highly recognized health care facilities in the surrounding area, allowing you to care for a variety of patients in diverse settings.

Medical Missions Opportunities — As early as your freshman year, you will have the opportunity to participate in short-term medical missions clinical experiences with a faculty member or RN in a variety of locations.

Program Requirements

Admission Requirements — Students who wish to apply for admission to Cedarville University and major in nursing should show a strong commitment to leading a godly lifestyle and a desire to use nursing as ministry for Christ. A college preparatory curriculum including four years of both mathematics and science (algebra, biology, and chemistry required) provides the best academic preparation for the nursing major. Acceptance by Cedarville University does not guarantee acceptance into the nursing major.

Continuation Requirements — Students must fulfill academic, non-academic, and technical requirements in order to progress in the nursing program. In addition, students must receive a positive recommendation from the faculty of the School of Nursing each semester.

Building on your core liberal arts and Bible minor courses, you will take courses grounded in the biological and behavioral sciences and enhanced by hands-on learning experiences. Your clinical rotations will build upon what you learn in coursework.
