2026 Fall Semester Activity Details

Singles Disc Golf League

  • Registration Dates: August 12–22
  • Play Begins: September 2
  • Format: We will play four weeks of preliminary rounds followed by two weeks of final rounds. Each player's top two preliminary-round scores will be combined with their two final-round scores to determine the A League and B League champions.
  • League Night: Wednesday evenings beginning at either 4:15 or 5:15 p.m.

  • Play Begins: August 31
  • Format: All players will play three or four round-robin matches first (pool play) with the top players entering a combined single-elimination tournament to determine the overall champion for each gender.
  • Officials: Officials will not be provided for tennis matches. Participants are responsible for calling their own matches.
  • Scheduling: When signing up, please indicate your top three preferred playing days and times, as well as any scheduling conflicts. The earlier you register, the better your chances of receiving your preferred playing time.

Group Exercise Classes

  • Classes will be FREE of charge and on a first come, first served basis.
  • Classes are planned to begin September 8.

  • Registration Dates: September 2–10
  • Playing Date: September 12
  • Format: This will be a one-day event held on Saturday, September 12. The format will depend on the number of registrants. The plan is to play a double-elimination tournament with each gender. Participants should be free to play between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.

  • Registration Dates: August 19–29
  • Play Begins: September 8
  • Format: The plan is for all teams to play three or four round-robin matches first (pool play) with the top teams entering a single-elimination tournament to determine the overall championship team for each gender.
  • Number of Players per Team: Minimum – 10, Maximum – 16, During Play – 7
  • Officials: We hope to have enough game officials to provide three officials for every game. Every team will be responsible for sending at least two players to the official's clinic and willing to work at least one or two games per week (at times their team is not playing).

    • Men's B (average skill)

Co-Rec Ultimate Frisbee Leagues

  • Registration Dates: August 26–September 5
  • Play Begins: September 14
  • Format: All teams will play three or four round-robin games first (pool play) with the top teams entering a combined single-elimination tournament to determine the overall champion.
  • Number of Players per Team: Minimum – 9, Maximum – 16, During Play – 7
  • Limitations: Each team is limited to no more than four club ultimate team members (either current year or past years). See more details in the Intramural Sports Handbook.
  • Officials: Officials will not be used for Ultimate Frisbee. Players will be expected to call their own games.
  • Playing Days and Times: When signing up a team, find out from your teammates which days and times would work best and indicate your team's three preferred days/times to play along with your team's major conflicts (when your team will be unable to play).

Young's Bike Ride – Fall

  • Registration Dates: September 2–10
  • Event Date: September 12
  • Event Start Time: 1 p.m.
  • Event Description:
    • Approximately an 18–20 mile bike trip starting at the Fitness Center.
    • Route to Young's:
      • Cedarville–Yellow Springs Rd → left on Conley Rd
      • Right on Tarbox Cemetery Rd → Wilberforce–Clifton Rd
      • To Grinnell Rd to the bike path in Yellow Springs
      • Bike path to W. Jackson Rd and over to State Route 68
      • Continue to Young's Jersey Dairy
    • Return route:
      • Bike path to Grinnell Rd → Wilberforce–Clifton Rd → Cedarville–Yellow Springs Rd → campus
    • Young's ice cream will be available to everyone who preregisters by midnight on Thursday, September 10, and completes the ride on Saturday.
    • A support truck will be provided.

2-Player Golf Scramble

  • Format: Two-player scramble
  • Registration Dates: September 9–18
  • Playing Date: September 25
  • Location: Locust Hills Golf Course
  • Cost: $10 per student and faculty/staff member (includes riding cart for nine holes)
  • Sign Up: Stop by the Recreation Center Main Desk during the afternoon or evening hours, pay the fee, and sign up for a tee time.
  • Tee Times: 3:15–5:15 p.m.

Co-Rec Volleyball Leagues

  • Registration Dates: September 9–19
  • Play Begins: September 28
  • Format: All teams will play three to five round-robin games first with the top teams entering a combined single-elimination tournament to determine the overall championship team.
  • Number of Players per Team: Minimum – 6, Maximum – 12, During Play – 6 (3 men and 3 women)
    • Teams must have at least four players on the court to start or continue a match, but no more than six.
    • Teams may never have more men on the court than women.
    • Legal combinations include 3 men/3 women, 2 men/3 women, 2 men/2 women, or 1 man/3 women.
  • Limitations: Each team is limited to no more than two players who in the past have played college-level varsity, JV, or club volleyball. See more details in the Intramural Sports Handbook.
  • Officials: Officials will not be used during pool play but may be added for playoff matches.
  • Divisions:
    • A (higher skill)
    • B (average skill)

3v3 Basketball

  • Registration Dates: September 9–19
  • Play Begins: September 28
  • Format: All men's teams will play three to five round-robin pool play games with the top teams entering a combined single-elimination tournament to determine the overall championship team. The women will either play pool play and then a playoff (if there are more than seven teams) or a simple round robin format within one league (with the team having the best record being declared the champion).
  • Number of Players per Team: Minimum – 4, Maximum – 6, During Play – 3
  • Limitations: Each team is limited to no more than two players who in the past have played college-level varsity or JV basketball. See more details in the Intramural Sports Handbook.
  • Officials: There will be one scorekeeper and one game official provided for each game.
  • Divisions:
    • Women's (open — no difference in skill between leagues)
    • Men's A (higher skill)
    • Men's B (average skill)

Hiking Trip to Hocking Hills

  • Registration Dates: September 16–24
  • Trip Date: September 26
  • Departure Time: 8 a.m.
  • Trip Description:
    • Join Campus Recreation for a day hiking at Hocking Hills State Park.
    • Transportation will be provided.
    • Participants should wear appropriate hiking shoes and weather-appropriate clothing.
    • Please bring a packed lunch, water bottle, and any personal items you may need throughout the day.
    • Space is limited, so register early to reserve your spot.

  • Registration Dates: September 16–24
  • Tournament Date: September 26
  • Format: This will be a one-day doubles tournament. The format will depend on the number of teams registered. The goal is to conduct a double-elimination tournament whenever possible.
