Ears to Hear graphic for chapel series

Chapel has long been called the heartbeat of Cedarville University, where students, faculty, and staff gather each weekday for dynamic worship and powerful preaching. Chapel is also a great way for you to stay connected with Cedarville and get a taste of what your student is experiencing every day.

This year in his chapel series, Dr. White is preaching on a selection of parables from the Gospels of Matthew and Luke in “Ears to Hear: Listening to the Stories of Jesus.”

Read today's post to watch a preview of Dr. White's series and learn how to follow along from home.

Experience Fall Bible Conference With Your Student

Thursday, August 12, 2021

Chapel speaker and audienceWe'll kick off the fall semester next week with our annual Fall Bible Conference — always a highlight of the year.

This year's speaker will be Cedarville's own Dr. Jeremy Kimble, Associate Professor of Theology. The theme for this year’s conference is “Wholehearted,” inspired by Dr. Kimble’s personal Bible reading in 1 and 2 Chronicles.

The conference starts Monday night at 7 p.m. and continues Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Thursday at 10 a.m. It will be an incredible time of worship and spiritual renewal as we turn our attention to dedicating our whole hearts to the Lord.

Want to be a part of this incredible experience yourself? You can livestream all services via chapel livestreaming or watch later from the  chapel archive. It's a great way to stay connected with your student! You can also download the CU Chapel+ app to your smartphone to access live chapels on the go.

Last week our President, Dr. Thomas White, began a yearlong weekly sermon series through the book of Ephesians. The series is titled "ID: in Christ." Watch the evening news or surf the Internet and you'll quickly see that we have an identity crisis in our society. So many people have a wrong perception of who they are and where their value comes from. As followers of Jesus Christ, we are not defined by what we do, what we achieve, or what others may think about us. Our true identity...
