Sending Packages Prior to Getting Started

Many parents choose to send items for their student's residence hall room directly to campus so it is waiting for them when they arrive for Getting Started Weekend. If you will be sending packages to campus before your student arrives, please note the following requests from Postal Services:

• Plan to ship items for an August 1 or later arrival date
• For returning students, use your student's complete name — including full middle name — and campus box number on all items
• For freshmen or transferring students, use your student's complete name — including full middle name — and include "Incoming New Student" on all items

Your student will receive an email telling them to go to a locker or come to the post office window to pick up their package when it arrives.
