Undergraduate Students
Changes in a student's course schedule must be made through the drop/add process.
For a 16-week, full-term course:
- Students may change their schedules through Student Planning through the end of the week in which classes begin.
- After the first week, a Drop/Add Request form is required to complete a schedule change.
For an 8-week course:
- Students may change their schedules through Student Planning through the second day of the course.
- Starting the third day of the course, a Drop/Add Request form is required to complete a schedule change.
Drop/Add Request Forms
Drop/Add Request forms are available on the website and in myCU. There are also paper forms, if needed, in the Office of the Registrar (SSC 132).
- Drop/Add Request: Full-Term Undergraduate Courses
- Drop/Add Request: Partial-Term Undergraduate Courses
- Drop/Add Request: Undergraduate Online Program Courses (Z sections)
- Drop/Add Request: Graduate Students
Course changes are complete when the Office of the Registrar receives the completed Drop/Add Form. The effective date of the course change and refund is the date the Office of the Registrar receives the completed form.
Failure to properly drop a class will result in a grade of "Z" which impacts a student's grade point average the same as an "F" grade.
