Financial Requirements

Information concerning student costs may be obtained from the financial aid office. International students are required to pay each semester in full before they arrive on campus, the four payment plan is not an option.

A form I-20, Certificate of Eligibility for Non-immigrant F-1 Student Status, is issued by the designated school official (DSO) at Cedarville upon receipt of credible documentary evidence of the ability to pay full tuition, room, board, and fees for the student's initial academic year of enrollment. Please direct any questions concerning your immigration documentation by sending an e-mail to Brenda Reid (DSO).

For international students to maintain the F-1 student visa status with the United States government, they must enroll in and complete at least 12 hours of classes per semester. A student must maintain a 2.0 grade point average to be considered academically qualified to continue studies.

Financial Aid

Financial assistance for undergraduate international students who enroll at Cedarville University is available. International students may qualify for Cedarville University's institutional scholarships if they meet the stated academic qualifications. The International Grant is awarded based on financial need and only available to international students. However, none of these awards will cover all educational expenses. Cedarville's International Student Income Form is used to determine eligibility for need-based institutional grants. Some private organizations and foundations within the U.S. also provide financial assistance to international students, but these grants and scholarships are also very limited. In most cases, international students must seek out financial sponsors within their country or rely on the financial support of their families.
