New Pre-M.Div. Minor Starting Fall 2021
Wednesday, March 3, 2021
If your student is considering pursuing a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree after graduation, Cedarville is adding a new Pre-M.Div. minor starting fall 2021 that will make it quicker and more cost effective to earn that graduate degree at Cedarville.
By adding the pre-M.Div. minor to any of Cedarville’s undergraduate degree programs — along with the required Bible minor — your student can go right into Cedarville's Advanced M.Div. program and complete their graduate program in just two years rather than three. This will allow them to save a full year of graduate school tuition and enter full-time ministry one year sooner while being equipped academically and practically for lifelong, effective ministry of the Word of God.
The pre-M.Div. minor is a great opportunity for your student to pursue a path toward ministry from virtually any major at Cedarville. Are they considering medical missions? The Advanced M.Div. will be a perfect complement to their medical training. Or maybe they want to use their civil engineering skills cross-culturally? Pursuing an M.Div. will give them the biblical, theological, and practical training to be effective in Gospel ministry. These are just two examples. Adding an M.Div. to ANY major will enable your student to combine their passion for that area of study with their passion to serve Christ vocationally.
Cedarville also offers an accelerated B.A.+M.Div. program for students who want to fully focus their undergraduate and graduate studies toward ministry training. This innovative dual degree can be completed in just five years, saving thousands in educational costs.
Both of these M.Div. pathways are examples of how Cedarville is seeking innovative ways to reduce the cost of earning a degree while preparing our students for Gospel impact in their chosen fields.
