Student Assistant Anatomy Lab

General Overview: the anatomy lab assistant (ALA) works closely with the PA Program anatomy faculty to help prepare and deliver the lab experiences related to wet lab (i.e., cadaver dissection), dry lab (i.e., Anatomage, worksheets, and models) and testing experiences. ALAs will work outside of scheduled class lab time to assist with dissection of the cadavers and presets on the Anatomage table that correspond to the body system/area for that lab. They will also be present during the lab sessions to provide technical assistance only; they are not responsible for or expected to teach any content. Skills & Required Qualities: completion of a higher-level human anatomy and physiology course with dissection lab (e.g., Structure & Function); good hand/eye coordination and ability for gross and fine motor skills to perform delicate cadaver dissections; technologic savviness and understanding of computer software to navigate the Anatomage table functions; self-starter and able to work on your own without direct oversight.

Estimated Wage: $15.00

Student Assistant Program and Special Projects

The PA Program is hiring a highly motivated and organized student to assist with multiple data related projects to support our program: - Assist with research and data gathering on health systems and preceptors for our program to complete their profiles in our clinical year management database. This work is coordinated and overseen by the Director of Clinical Education (DCE). - Assist with building out skills checklists in the Program's simulation system in anticipation of our spring clinical skills course. This work is coordinated and overseen by the Director of Didactic Education. - Assist with the collection and linking of data preparing for our accreditation site visit in Fall 2024. This work is overseen and coordinated by the Program Director. This individual must be able to work on multiple projects at once and able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines. They must also have a strong working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, One Drive and Sharepoint along with a high level of accuracy, organization, critical thinking, and problem solving.

Student Teaching Assistant Clinical Skills

The CU PA Program is seeking a Teaching Assistant (TA) for the Spring semester Clinical Skills and Interventions course. The ideal candidate will have a background in clinical skills; in particular, junior and senior nursing students are encouraged to apply. The TA’s responsibilities include efficiently setting up and cleaning up clinical skills labs, ensuring a conducive learning environment for PA students. The role extends to organizing the supply closet, maintaining inventory, and collaborating with faculty to develop and expand the clinical skills lab set-up templates. This position provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and success of our PA program while fostering the development of future healthcare professionals.
