Student Graphic Designer Intern

The student graphic designer intern supports the creative services department by creating and producing various printed materials as well as performing other various office duties as needed under the supervision of the marketing staff. FUNCTIONS: Essential Duties of a Graphic Designer a. Design publications, advertisements, and other forms of marketing materials b. Word process copy as appropriate to the publication c. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of image editing, illustration, and page layout software programs Non-Essential Duties of a Graphic Designer f. Maintain courteous and professional relationships with clients, customers, vendors, and others g. Save records of important client communication, maintain a digital archive, and complete office procedures necessary to promote an organized office environment QUALIFICATIONS: 1. Completion of two years in the Visual Design program at Cedarville 2. Samples of work available that demonstrates creative and design capabilities 3. Proficiency in the use of Mac OS, image editing, illustration, and page layout software including InDesign, Acrobat Professional, Photoshop, and Illustrator 4. Attention to detail and accuracy are required REQUIRED MENTAL/PHYSICAL ABILITIES: 1. Ability to type (keyboard proficiency) 2. Ability to operate a computer 3. Ability to view a computer screen for extended periods of time 4. Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods of time 5. Ability to hear/discern spoken words on phone or in-person for interviews 6. Ability to read with extreme care and accuracy 7. Ability to organize, prioritize, and complete assignments with minimum supervision 8.
