One Thousand Days Transformed - The Campaign for Cedarville

Cedarville Financial Aid Notifications and Your FAFSA

Thursday, February 29, 2024

FAFSA logoThe 2024–25 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) form opened December 31, 2023. The site is now available, but we still hear reports of families experiencing challenges completing the form. The Department of Education is continuing to address issues, so don't give up!

While families have seen delays in submitting the FAFSA, colleges are also in a waiting pattern. We now expect to begin receiving FAFSA results around mid-March.

We recognize this delay creates challenges as you prepare for the fall. Therefore, we have decided to proceed with reviewing and awarding institutional scholarships in the coming weeks. Many of these scholarships list "FAFSA submission" as a requirement for consideration. We are waiving this requirement and will review institutional scholarship applications as originally planned. Be sure you have submitted any scholarship applications by the posted deadlines!

We are committed to providing you with a complete financial aid offer as quickly as we can once we begin receiving FAFSA data from the Department of Education and our software system is aligned with the changes. As a reminder, the FAFSA is required to access all need-based aid at Cedarville as well as state and federal grants and federal student loans. Completing the FAFSA is the best way to ensure that you receive the most financial aid possible.
