Experience Fall Bible Conference With Your Student

Thursday, August 12, 2021

Chapel speaker and audienceWe'll kick off the fall semester next week with our annual Fall Bible Conference — always a highlight of the year.

This year's speaker will be Cedarville's own Dr. Jeremy Kimble, Associate Professor of Theology. The theme for this year’s conference is “Wholehearted,” inspired by Dr. Kimble’s personal Bible reading in 1 and 2 Chronicles.

The conference starts Monday night at 7 p.m. and continues Tuesday and Wednesday at 10 a.m. and 7 p.m., and Thursday at 10 a.m. It will be an incredible time of worship and spiritual renewal as we turn our attention to dedicating our whole hearts to the Lord.

Want to be a part of this incredible experience yourself? You can livestream all services via chapel livestreaming or watch later from the  chapel archive. It's a great way to stay connected with your student! You can also download the CU Chapel+ app to your smartphone to access live chapels on the go.

Tips for a Smooth College Drop-Off

Tuesday, August 10, 2021

Students moving into dormFrom one parent to another … dropping your child off at college is hard (especially if it’s your first time!). As you prepare to bring your student to Cedarville to begin his or her college career, please be assured of two things:

  • Your son or daughter rests securely in God’s hand. He has great plans for them (Jer. 29:11) and will never leave them alone (Heb. 13:5).
  • Cedarville University will do everything we can to love and support your child — personally, academically, and spiritually. We are so honored that you have entrusted your child to us, and we take that responsibility very seriously.

Read today's post for tips for a successful drop-off. Don't worry, Mom and Dad, you've got this!

Jeff Beste
Director of Strategic Relations (and a Cedarville dad!)

P.S. When you come to campus in a few days, be sure to stop by the parent table. We would love to meet you and welcome you to Cedarville!

Celebrating Transformed Lives at Commencement

Tuesday, May 4, 2021

Group of male and female graduates walking on sidewalkThis past weekend, Cedarville University celebrated the graduation of 892 new alumni, including those earning both undergraduate and graduate degrees.

More than just a number, these 892 students represent lives that were transformed by their time at Cedarville. Students who grew closer in their walk with the Lord from intentional mentoring, daily chapels, and biblical integration in their coursework. Students who were challenged by rigorous academics and prepared to succeed in their chosen field.

For those of you with graduating seniors, congratulations on this achievement! Like you, we can't believe how fast these last four years have gone! We will be praying with you as your son or daughter follows God's call in the next phase of their life.

Read today's post to hear what some of our graduates have to say about their 1,000 days at Cedarville.
